Bucoco Cabin Camp
March 23-25, 2018

Camp Bucoco is located along the Slippery Rock Creek in Slippery Rock Township in Butler County, Pennsylvania -- about 2 miles from Slippery Rock University. Camp Bucoco serves as the Council Boy Scout resident camp during the summer. The camp sits on 280 acres, and includes 11 camp sites, 4 rustic cabins for short term rentals, and a newly remodeled dining hall.

Our troop program for the weekend will center around getting our newest members up to speed on Fire Chit and other basic skills.

Camp Location: Camp Bucoco; 150 Bucoco Lane; Slippery Rock, PA
Dates: Friday, March 23 to Sunday, March 25, 2018
Departure/Arrival: Meet to depart St. Paul’s on Friday evening for a 5:30 p.m. departure. Return to be mid to late morning. Scouts to call home for rides, when they return to the church.

Patrol Cooking: For this outing we will be cooking by patrols.
Patrols will plan meals for two breakfasts one lunch and one dinner and two snacks. Patrols will shop for food prior to the campout.
What to Bring: Bring items appropriate for a cabin camp. We will be staying in two cabins (Nuge & Amphi - #'s 5 & 17 on the camp map). The camp will be providing cots but there are no mattresses, so bring cardboard and/or a sleeping pad. Bring clothing appropriate for early spring weather. Some activities will be outdoors, so you may need rain gear. The nights likely will be cold. Don’t forget your eating utensils and cup.  The troop WILL NOT supply paper plates of plastic forks/spoons.

Pack everything in a small duffel or backpack - no camp boxes!
Leave electronic games, iPods, etc. at home!

Cost: Fee for the weekend is $25.  This includes camp & program fees along with 4 meals and snacks for 2 nights.
Registration: Register early on our online system to save your space, but no later than Wednesday, March 14th.
