Klondike Derby
February 17, 2018

Snow eluded us for most of the day for the 2018 Laurel Hills District Klondike Derby, but in the end we got a small amount.

This year 16 scouts participated in the events, operating as two patrols. Three additional scouts ran our station, which was a "Survivor" style challenge course.

Arriving at Camp Tenacharisson too late to claim one of the pavillions, the troop used an EzUp as our base for troop operations throughout the day. While the scouts participated in the activities and/or ran our event, some of the adults prepared a hearty lunch of '57 varities' soup and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches.

The snow arrived just in time for the last event of the day, the traditional sled race.
