Troop 480's annual backpack outing on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail took place the weekend of May 31 - June 2. Ten scouts and four adults participated the outing. This year the group hiked north from PA highway 653 north to PA-31 (12 miles). Overnight camps were at the Rt. 653 andGrindle Ridge shelter areas. This year's hike also served as a shakedown for folks who will be attendng the Northern Tier High Adventure Base later in June.
