Each year, in remembrance of those who gave their lives for our country, and in honor of those who have served in our country's military forces, Troop 480 places flags on veterans graves and participates in Memorial Day services at the Westmoreland Memorial Park.

In place of the regular Wednesday Meeting, the troop met at Westmoreland Memorial Park on May 25 to place flags on the graves. A followup contingent came back on Sunday, the 26th to go back over the area and place any flags that were missed.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th, the troop returned to Westmoreland Memorial Park to help with the Rememberance Service. Our members helped direct traffic, handed out the programs, helped folks to their seats, handled the opening flag ceremony and assisted at the end of the service, by taking down and stacking chairs.
