Each year, in remembrance of those who gave their lives for our country, and in honor of those who have served in our country's military forces, Troop 480 places flags on veterans graves and participates in Memorial Day services at the Westmoreland Memorial Park.

Most years we use our Wednesday troop meeting night to place tlags at the cemetary. Because of heavy rain and thunderstorms, this year, we postponed the placement to Saturday morning.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th, the troop returned to Westmoreland Memorial Park to help with the Rememberance Service. Our members helped direct traffic, handed out the programs, helped folks to their seats, handled the opening flag ceremony and assisted at the end of the service, by taking down and stacking chairs.
